Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and passionate Culinary Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep love for cooking, a creative flair, and the ability to prepare delicious and visually appealing dishes. This role requires a strong understanding of various cooking techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in taste and presentation.

  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and innovate new menu items, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.

  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, including chefs, line cooks, and servers, to ensure smooth operations and timely service.

  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to understand their preferences and receive feedback, enhancing the overall dining experience.

  • Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise during food preparation or service, implementing solutions to maintain quality and efficiency.

  • Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Culinary Professional, Chef, or similar role in a restaurant or catering setting.

  • Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food preparation methods.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creativity and innovation in developing new recipes and menu items.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Relevant culinary certifications or degrees are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This is a full-time position.

  • Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • May require standing for extended periods and working in a hot kitchen environment.

     

    Job Type: Part-time 

    Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
